The Samford University Preministerial Scholars program is a very unique program. Combining the academic study of religion with the practical experience of internships and cadres, the program seeks to equip students for church-related ministries. Each year, a limited number of merit scholarships are offered to entering freshmen. The program is highly competitive. A minimum score of 26 on the ACT or 1190 on the SAT is required. Students who are invited to join may receive a scholarship for up to $11,000 annually the first two years. There is potential to receive an increase of up to $16,000 annually after two years of participation.
